Today, I implemented the blog section of the website. Woohoo! What an achievement! There was also gorgeous weather today, which is honestly much more intersting.

April Fools Day is tomorrow. Sadly, I haven't really thought of anything funny to do for it yet. Remember that everything you see on the internet tomorrow is the absolute /truth and you should 100% believe it. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar and a scoundrel.

What a glorious day, the Website has been finished! I'll probably make a few changes in the future, but as of now, everything I want to be here is here and accounted for. Hope you guys enjoy it so far!

I saw The Super Mario Bros Movie this weekend. I went with some friends and dressed up as fire Mario, while my friend Julian dressed up as Luigi. It was pretty cool! It basically gave me everything I wanted in a Mario movie since I was a little paisano watching the bizzare 1993 film. My biggest complaint with it was the pacing, as scenes moved too quickly and needed to give the audience more time to take in what was happening, but that's kind of a universal opinion regarding the movie. Besides that, it was really fun, so I'd give it an 8/10. It was like watching a really high budget episode of the Super Mario Bros Super Show. Afterwards, my pals and I had the Post-Mario-Movie Smoke Sesh, where we got really high and talked about the movie.

GEEZ GOSH-DANG LOUISE! Boy, has it been a bit since I've updated the website! It's been even longer since I've written in this beautiful blog section I worked so damn hard on! To be fair though, I've been really busy going on cool adventures with my friends since summer break started and this has caused me to neglect my duties as the minotaur of this web-labyrinth (and prevent me from working of Funderpants). Speaking of cool adventures with pals, I'm going to New York with them tomorrow. I'll make sure to write about it the day after and tell you all about the interesting events that take place, possibly including some secret pictures ;).

May 31, 2023

New York was pretty awesome! It's been a long sime since I've been there and it surely has changed quite a bit. My friends and I saw all kinds of things there, including (but not limited to): Nintendo World, Hershey World, some stupid Drain Gang art exhibit, Central Park, etc and soforth. There was a lot of other stuff I wanted to see, too, but it was either closed or soon to be closed by the time I brought it up. Hopefully we go to NY again soon so we can check that stuff out.

I went to a Panchiko concert today. When we got off the train, we saw this crazy line headed in the direction for the concert that spanned multiple blocks. Thankfully, when we got closer, we saw the line was for some dumb shit at the Filmore, rather than the concert. The venue was this cool, circus themed bowling alley/bar/stage with no less than 65-70 redditor-type people. There was a point when I ordered "Rock-n-Roll Fries", and it was around 30 minutes before someone came up to me to ask me if I ordered something, then another ten minutes for them to bring out my fries. Also, there were two openers that played for really long, and since I didn't know what panchiko looked like or sounded like prior to the concert, I was kept asking Julian if it was Panchiko on yet. Overall, I'd rate Panchiko an 8/10 and the expirience as a whole a 7/10.

Guess where I was for the past three days? If you guessed Toomanygames in Oaks, PA, you either cheated, looked at my twitter, or saw me there. It was a pretty cool convention and I got myself a pretty sick gamer haul (which can be viewed on my twitter.com profile). I was dressed as Don Chan from Taiko no Tatsujin for the first two days, but I switched over to Fire Mario from Fire Mario on the last day so I'd have an easier time doing basic things (who could've guessed walking around wearing a big foam tube in a hot-ass, sweaty-ass convention was a bad idea?). The only downsides to the convention were the random points when I'd be hit with a fog of rancid Gamer-Stank(tm) and seeing tables ran by boomers who thinks that gamers will pay whatever they demand for literally any video game 10 years or older. There's a whole-ass rant about it on my twitter, but long story short, I saw a copy of regular-ass pokemon sapphire, not even in the box or anything, listed at 1000 big greens.

Today, when I was heading into my job, I saw a mother duck and her babies sitting on a wall. Then, when I looked down, I saw two more babies trying to get back up to the rest of their duck clan. I was worried they wouldn't be able to get back up, or even worse, run into the parking lot and get hit by a car, so this other guy and I caught them and put them with the others.

So, I was thinking about that Suicide Squad game that got delayed about 3 different times, and that's absolutely wild to me, man. Rocksteady did so fucking great with the Arkham trilogy, literally made the best superhero games of all time, and when they showed the footage of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it was like a checklist of everything wrong with the gaming industry. RPG mechanics where there needn't be? Check. Always online, even when playing single player? Check. 8 different currencies you need to buy with real money? Check. A battlepass that you have to buy and then grind like hell before time runs out to unlock everything, thus taking the fun out of not just unlocking things, but the already generic and boring looking game? Czech. And when I say the game looks generic and boring, I mean it. For some reason, they thought it was a smart idea to have none of the characters play like how they should. For example, every character uses guns, including Captain Boomerang and King Shark, rather than their own unique weapons or combat style, like boomerangs or teeth. When that footage released, they had to delay the game again because it got so much hate. I can only hope that this was due to WB meddling that was potentially undone by the sheer amount of backlash.

Did you know it's actually very easy to mod your 3DS?

August

August 13, 2023

So, since I'm such a fuckin' turbo nerd that causes "The Babes(TM)" to scream and run at the mere mention of my name, I noticed that in the My Adventures with Superman episode where Mr. Mxyzptlk shows up, in the scene where Mxy turns Clark into different Supermen while listing alternate universes, none of the numbered universes match the Supermen that Clark gets turned into. Boy, I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder!

August 18, 2023

Oh my god, Blue Beetle was absolute fucking kino. Definitely one of the best DC movies to release in the past decade.

August 21, 2023

So I saw the movie Oldboy with my friends today, which is like a Korean-action-mystery-noir type movie. It was so damn good. The entire movie from start to finish was crazy as hell, but the twist at the climax of the movie was absolutely insane. I have never seen anything like it. If you ever get the chance to watch it, I urge you to take that chance, just be ready for the 2nd wildest torture scene I have ever seen in cinema.

First day of my Sophmore year of college. I hope I get to see all my pals from freshmen year this semester!

September 6, 2023

So, I wound up getting Baldur's Gate 3 after my classes today and it's really good! I didn't think I was going to like it since I don't typically have the attention span for RPGs, but I'm glad I gave it a try. My only complaint is that I wish they included more playable races, but I understand why they didn't, and it's not like my enjoyment of the game was ruined by it.

September 26, 2023

Mortal Kombat 1 is so fucking good. I love what they did with Baraka and Reptile. They finally feel like they have an actual purpose! I already loved Baraka, but now I love him even more. Also, I really like the new Kameo system. It works a lot better than I expected it to.

November

November 9, 2023

Woah, hey, when did November sneak up on us? You may have notice the website hasn't been updated in quite a while. This is due to the fact that this semester has really been giving it to me up the butt. I'm doing way better now, but for most of October, I was not. As for updates on my wacky, crazy life, I was an arachnid wizard for Halloween; I 100% Spider-Man 2; I've been enjoying Fortnite OG (So much so that I got to level 60 and finished the available bonus rewards before the end of the first week); I got a promotion at work; and last night I saw the Five Nights At Freddy's movie. I liked it, it was super cool to see something that I've been wanting to see since I was 10 and it had a ton of fanservice. It was weird that they went off-lore as much as they did, but it was cool to see a different take on the franchise to keep TRUE and HONEST Frebby Fabbar Veterans surprised. Overall, 9/10 Matthew Lillard was the best part (I completely expected this) and the theatre was giving out free posters for Terrifier 3 (I completely didn't expect this).

AQUA TEEN IS BACK, BABY! NEVER GONNA BE CANCLED! MILLION SEASONS, MILLION MOVIES, LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO!!!

In other news...

Four days remain until Eminem obliterates the Fortnite island.

December

December 5, 2023

Bro Chapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite is one of the craziest changes Fortnite has ever undergone. Theres so many crazy new features with more to come, everything is super polished, the battlepass contains fucking PETER GRIFFIN and SOLID SNAKE, and all the new skins so far have been really top notch... Oh yeah, theres also a new rhythm game mode, racing mode, and LEGO FORTNITE MODE. This feels like an entirely new game almost, it's so cool.

It's my birthday today, yayaaaaaaaaaaa!

January 24, 2024

I'm actually excited for the suicide squad game now. Those bastards did it, they fixed the game's problems. Good on them.

February

February 7, 2024

I ordered a watch on the second of the month and it arrived today. A nice little G-Shock GA2100VB-1A. I think I may be becoming a watch guy now.

February 8, 2024

I may have judged the Suicide Squad game too harshly. It still has a few problems, but overall, the game is pretty fun. I'm looking forward to the free character and story DLC.

March

March 18, 2024

Hello! Today is my first day back from spring break, and you may be wondering why I haven't updated the site in about a month or so. You may also be wondering why there are two pages that are now inaccessible. Well, here are a few updates on why that stuff is the way it is:

  • I'm replacing the pages with much more fun and interesting ones, such as an updated projects page that includes my friends' projects as well (that is the bare minimum I can tell you about the pages without spoiling anything cool).
  • I'm currently learning all I can about Javascript to make version 2.0 of the site as fun and interactive as possible.
  • My friends and I have started work on a massive (completely unrelated to the first bullet) project that will take a long time to come to fruition. I don't want to reveal too much in case it all falls through, but I will reveal that it's going under the working title of "Absurdyssey".

Hey! Uh... kinda dead here isn't it? Yeah, sorry about that...

In all seriousness, I am sorry for leaving the website untouched for a couple months. I've been getting down and dirty in the creative space. I'm working on my first real actual game and I'm also working on an outline for a comic. Project Absurdyssey has been put on hold for a bit until we're more comfortable coding and whatnot. The overhaul of the website has also been put on hold, and likely won't happen until the end of this year or the beginning of next year. This summer hasbeen an eventful one (Some highlights include going to Mexico and taking part in the Pro-Palestine protests in DC), so I've kinda had to pick and choose what to focus on. Now that I'm back in school though, I'll likely update the website more frequently. IDK, I just find it easier to work on stuff like this when I have an established schedule.
